Canonical's X Gesture Extension Being Re-Evaulated
Earlier this month Canonical introduced its own multi-touch framework for Ubuntu that is set to premiere with Ubuntu 10.10 "Maverick Meerkat" and it's called UTouch and is joined by their own gesture/touch language. The X.Org Gesture Extension is already being re-evaluated and may in fact not be needed.

Fedora Users gather together in Switzerland
This years Fedora Users and Developers Conference (FUDCon) EMEA will happen from 17th to 19th September 2010 on the premises of the ETH Zurich, Switzerland. It features talks, hacking and barcamp sessions related to anything within the Fedora ecosystem. The event coincides with the FrOSCamp which is an annual, multilingual two-day event.
