SCO's Updates its "Legal Update" Page
SCO has posted some new materials on its Legal Update page, under a bizarre header, "Update on Rights to Continue Our UNIX Business." Has that ever been in dispute? If so, I've missed it. And isn't that exactly what SCO keeps trying to sell, its Unix business? I'm confused, unless one defines SCO's "business" as the business of litigation.

Making that old PC useful
I’ve recently upgraded my pc with new hardware, and the only thing I didn’t replace was the case. That meant that all I had to do to keep the old hardware useful was dig out an old case somewhere, and rebuild it. By modern standards, it’s a very modest machine, with an AMD Athlon 1800 CPU, 512MB of memory, and a crappy nVidia nForce4 compatible integrated video chip.

The KMart store clerk looks around and shows off the $600 or so PC, which was not in her target price range. After a bit more asking the clerk goes, “Well, we do have 1 machine in the back. Every store has only gotten one, but it’s only $200.
