RIAA Web Site Moved To Linux

http://linux.slashdot.org

Slashdot had this scoop, posted by xseedit: "The RIAA has moved their main Web site www.riaa.com from IIS on Win2003 to Apache 2.2.3 on Red Hat. Retrieving Emails From Remote Servers With getmail (Debian Etch)

http://www.howtoforge.com

Getmail is a program for retrieving emails from remote servers; it is very similar to fetchmail, but more flexible. For example, it can be configured to deliver mails directly to a Maildir or mbox mailbox without the need for an MTA such as Postfix, but of course it can also pipe the mails through an MTA if you want.

Apache and Subversion authentication with Microsoft Active Directory

http://www.jejik.com

Microsoft Active Directory is a bit-rotten crock that should have never seen the light of day. After two full days of waving dead chickens at it, trying to make any sense of it's irrational behavior I would love nothing more than to pick it up and throw it off the roof of our building, BofH style, aiming it at the PHB that bought it in the first place. Or it's programmer.
