A video tour of openSUSE 11 (with KDE 4 desktop)
SUSE has been around almost since the dawn of consumer-level desktop Linux, and openSUSE 11 upholds the SUSE reputation for having not just a wide range of available applications, but also excellent documentation and a fine user-to-user support community. For this video we chose the KDE 4.x desktop option. KDE 3.5x and GNOME are also available as defaults in openSUSE.

Would Adobe Make A Custom Linux OS
In a recent MarketWatch article, John C. Dvorak suggests that, in order to counter pressure from Microsoft's Silverlight, Adobe should port their software to Linux and design a specialized Linux OS that is optimized to run their suite of applications really well and really fast. Dvorak suggests this as blow to Microsoft, since it would promote Linux.

Using Evolution for Time Management.
My time and case management is based of Gnome Evolution. It syncs with my Treo 650 via Gnome Pilot. I use Evolution's Calendar for specific timed events. I use the Task feature as a tickler file for work flow management. Using the Calendar is a "no brainer" but it took me a while to get the Task feature to work the way I need it to.
