This is completely untrue.
As pointed out at boycottnovell.com, this is completely untrue. Novell has not removed GIMP from SLED 11. I use GIMP at least once a week with my SLED 11 machine. It is possible that the preload on the HP Mini doesn’t have GIMP pre-installed, which does seem odd, but if that’s the case that’s an HP issue. The default install on the SLED 11 media does in fact install GIMP.
