We've been working on the GNOME Foundation's goals for 2010. We distributed them for comment on the Foundation list. I've also created a quick survey if you want to show which goals you like.

The GNOME Foundation has been slowly and quietly growing in marketing sophistication, arming itself to do battle with proprietary desktop leaders Microsoft and Apple. For instance, yesterday the foundation announced that it was raising its 2010 advisory board membership fees to $20,000 apiece for large companies and $10,000 for small ones.

The Linux Foundation rolled out it's speaker lineup for its invitation-only 2010 End User Summit slated to be held October 12-12, 2010 in New Jersey.

LiMo Foundation and GNOME Foundation today announced a key partnership with the objective of collaborating closely on open source innovation. Starting immediately, LiMo Foundation will become a member of GNOME Foundation’s Advisory Board and GNOME Foundation will become an Industry Liaison Partner for LiMo Foundation.

Firefox 3.6, which had been expected by the end of the year, has been delayed with a release now expected in the "first quarter of 2010". The news comes from the Mozilla Wiki where "Ship Firefox 3.6" has now been carried over as a goal for the first three months of 2010.
