The Ubuntu wiki points out that a new complete beginners manual for Ubuntu is on it's way. The manual will include information on anything you need to know after installing Ubuntu and very useful how-to's for beginners, all written in a user-friendly way in a PDF file.

The ubuntu community is one of the most enjoyable I’ve ever been a part of, it has a much more diverse set of people and ideas than other development communities, but retains a strict sense of community and togetherness.

Ubuntu Linux is, arguably, the most popular Linux distro around today, with millions of people who deeply love it. There are some people however, who, for some reasons, do not just want to hear the mention of Ubuntu.

"...Remember that Ubuntu is built on Community and Community is the number one reason why it is successful. People like me and you building upon the shoulders of giants. Lets continue to improve the communities around us, celebrating what makes us all unique. Without Ubuntu and without community we are nothing."

I have been using Ubuntu for about 3 months and I love it more and more everyday. There are a lot of reasons for this but the most important one is that you can find a lot of alternatives to softwares made for windows and ,what is more, all are free.
