A little news to announce that PlayOnLinux 3.6 is out.
- The novelty this time is the integration of winetricks (which has been modified for PlayOnLinux) by use of the "tricks" command.
This way script writers will be able to use it easily.
I also took this opportunity to clean out the code by deleting useless files and corrected minor bugs.
To this day, PlayOnLinux has provided you with more than a hundred scripts. Thanks to PlayOnLinux quite a few people have made their final step towards Linux. Maybe you are among those recent addition to the community. As you know, Playonlinux allows you to use applications made for windows on the GNU/Linux operating system of your choice for free.

PlayOnLinux today went live with their new APT repository the repository will enable you to automatically update your computer at the time of each release of PlayOnLinux.
playonlinux seems to be similar to cedega except that playonlinux is open-source and free. playonlinux almost support 11 Linux distros. Although there is no package for Ubuntu Intrepid but adding Ubuntu Hardy sources file to my intrepid seems to be working fine.
It's official now, PlayOnLinux will be available directly in the Ubuntu distribution soon! is what annouced Playonlinux team sometime ago, they confirmed that PlayOnLinux 3.5 will be available in Ubuntu's "universe" repository for the next release, Karmic Koala, in October
PlayOnLinux version 3.4 has been released and it has some long awaited new features and as always bug fixes and tweaks. Also a new version of the PlayOnLinux website will be coming soon, so keep a eye on the site for these future updates.
