Uggh! You missed the point!
The point is that Linux will have difficulty gaining mainstream acceptance as long as the arrogant, illeli-lete are at the helm. There are no "facts" to back up, just an unspoken disdain for the Linux geeks. You aren't providing counterpoint with your complaint, but merely proving his point.
Try this instead, "Hey, maybe you're right; the linux community could improve with some customer-friendliness..." and get over yourself.
