It's been 234 days (or just shy of eight months) since Unreal Tournament 3 had shipped for the PC. Most would have thought the Linux client for this title from Epic Games would have arrived by now, but sadly it hasn't and there is no sign of when it will arrive.

UT3 is proprietary software
UT3 is proprietary software. Had this been free software, the users of this program would be able to help themselves; the community around UT3 would have cooperated in improving UT3 to get it to target GNU/Linux friendly platforms. Since the all users lack their essential freedoms, the users are expected to be helpless. User helplessness is part of the nature of all proprietary software and this example is no different. This is not news about free software.
