Way back when I was a wire jerker and learning about electronics there was explained to me a phenomenon called the domino effect. This means that when one part of an electronic component fails, the surrounding parts also fail. Just like a row of falling domino's, hence the name. The same thing can also happen in software.

So in this small tutorial we will try to achieve similar effect using Gimp.This effect is actually a simple mask trick. To get started we will first need to download an image from where we can isolate a colour part from a desaturated background. I have already selected an image for you to get started.

Slashdot founder Rob "CmdrTaco" Malda recently announced a new Slashdot section dedicated to offtopic humor, memes, viral videos, and pictures. --It's at Idle.slashdot.org. He said it's been beta tested for the last few months but I've only heard about it today.
