Bitter political foes South and North Korea are to jointly develop a version of Linux.

Linux is also making inroads to the desktop in China, mostly from smaller PC manufacturers. In addition, mobile devices are a widening market for Linux.

However, since April, UCenter Home, an open source social network service based on PHP and MySQL, is pushing open social networking in China.
