Big brother delayed

They may have scaled down their ambitions a little, but you can be sure that the small brother database will grow rapidly. Storing the actual content of phone calls and emails may not be technically feasible now, but you can be certain that five or ten years from now it will be absolutely feasible. Once the system gets rolling - decentralised or not - there will be no end of opportunities for politicians to meddle with the details of people's lives.
