Firefox 3 developers are taking all the time that they need to accomplish their new Firefox. After the Beta 1 Mozilla has released Firefox 3 beta 2 to get more feedbacks about bugs from its testing community. Bugzilla was a little bit busy lately since the beta 1 thousands of bugs fortunately 900 of them are fixed. Firefox developers are trying to reveal more bugs to make their Firefox 3 better. The Beta 2 features are very promising and the Firefox 3 will definitely beat all competitors.

KDE SC 4.4.4 brings a number of improvements. Several bugs in filename sorting in the Dolphin file manager have been fixed. Issues with encoded filenames in ZIP archives have been fixed. A number of bugs in games, such as KMines, KNetwalk and LSkat and KSpaceDuel have been fixed.
KDE released the first release candidate for its renewed Workspaces, Applications, and Development Platform. With API, dependency and feature freezes in place, the KDE team's focus is now on fixing bugs and further polishing new and old functionality. 91 more bugs were fixed since the beta2 release and about 40 regressions were identified and mostly fixed as well.
Advanced backup tools that keep multiple copies of files and so on have their place, but sometimes you just need a simple scheduled sync, not a full backup. For example, I have an SD card that stays in my laptop almost all the time. On this, I keep a copy of most of my home folder that gets updated every day at 1:30 in the morning. I no longer have to think about it, it just happens.
kde respects bugs. bugs in kde3 have their equivalent in kde4. rule of thumb in developing kde is 'we do not fix bugs. ever.' the worst part is that important bugs in kde3 were not fixed in several years.
