NexentaOS: Gnu OpenSolaris

Surprisingly it is pretty easy to get NexentaOS desktop installed, gnome appears to be the default desktop of choice. Interestingly NexentaOS is not using the standard Sun Solaris package management tools but Debian apt style for software management

Morton: no merging of OpenSolaris with Linux

Sun keeps OpenSoalris CDDL, not GPLv3 (for now)

Sun has so far elected not to use the GPLv3 for OpenSolaris, despite hinting previously that this was under consideration. They argue that CDDL is a polished version of a pouplar license family, and thus needs no replacement.
