Embed the Konsole (Terminal) to the Desktop in KDE 4.3

http://www.mygnulinux.com

Konsole is the X terminal emulator of KDE. I find having the terminal out of my way, but always open and easy to reach out to, very convenient. It also looks cool. ;) With KDE SC 4.3 you can easily achieve this with a few clicks without the need of any additional software.

comparing "KDE 4" and "GNOME 3"

http://aseigo.blogspot.com

There is small trend currently to write a blog entry or article comparing "KDE 4" and "GNOME 3". Now, I'm not involved in the least with the GNOME 3 efforts (no big surprise there, I'm sure) so I can't and won't comment on what they are doing now or in the future (they can do so themselves quite well), but there are two interesting points I keep seeing raised that I really do want to address ...

Learning to love KDE 4 (part I)

http://blogs.pcworld.co.nz

There seems little doubt that KDE 4, the flagship desktop environment used by many Linux aficionados, was released too early. How Important is KDE 4?

Just by looking at the KDE project, it appears as if development has slowed down. This certainly would not be a bad thing; the KDE project really needs to focus on stability and performance. The question still lingers: exactly how important is KDE 4?
