http://blogs.ittoolbox.com

With Microsoft trying to horn in on this one laptop per child program I can see two things happening. One I already mentioned and that is the price will rise. Not just because of the operating system that Microsoft seems intent on forcing on everyone but the cost of the hardware will rise too as windows will not run on hardware that Linux can happily run on.

3 moments in Vista that make me consider Linux

http://www.thepcspy.com

While I definitely think some elements of Vista are definite improvements, 10 months of experience has shown me there are some things that just annoy me to my very core. Here are the three things that most make me wish I had the strength to move over to Linux — full time.

How Linux is being subverted

http://blogs.ittoolbox.com

Linux is in great danger at the moment. That danger started when Microsoft cut their deal with Novell. Many open source advocates recognized this and there was a hue and cry over it. This furor has died down to a large extent and apathy has set in. To combat this the FSF brought out their GPLv3 but this seems to be too little too late.

Microsoft FUD Watch: OOXML Edition

http://www.microsoft-watch.com

In all my years working as a journalist, I've never seen any technology company spin information the way Microsoft did today.
