Everybody's talking about Microsoft - the hot topics are interoperability, exclusion, standards, and the doubts of Red Had and the European Union about their alleged about-turn.
Microsoft want to stop being seen as the big bad wolf and start celebrating their engagements with and support of various open source activities via a special website... and they are even submitting their shared source license to OSI for approval. Aw.

The OLPC project has begun production and everyone wants to have a say. The articles I found all had slightly different slants or information, but not different enough to warrant posting each story as a separate entry. Of course, some opinions are far more positive than others!
