I agree, but there should be no room for complacency and there may be big challenges ahead for the free software movement. Companies such as MS are unlikely to stand by and watch GNU/Linux become the dominant operating system without a fight. Software patents and various forms of DRM also remain a threat to digital freedom. Things could get a whole lot worse before they get better.
