Not really true

The author is claiming that GNU/Linux is not really friendly towards new users because they need to be able to compile code and use the command line. This simply isn't true where the mainstream GNU/Linux desktop distros are concerned.

Really, new users don't need to go anywhere near the command line or source compiling to carry out normal computer work as well, or better, than they can with Windows.

His criticism of the documentation is perfectly valid, but the last time I used Windows "Help" wasn't an experience in clarity and simplicity, either.
