Microsoft is really punishing users
Microsoft is really punishing users for their brand loyalty. It is gradually becoming clearer to users and administrators alike that having any outside organisation take control of your computer and install programs onto it without your permission - even if it's from a "trusted" source like Microsoft - is potentially hazardous.
If you know anyone who has suffered from this recent "upgrade" perhaps this is a good time to remind them that there is an alternative to being a slave of the borg mind that is Microsoft.

Oh, I make sure I remind every M$ user about the free alternatives. Even if they haven't been having any particular problems they still continue to pay bags of money for their software that they don't need to.
