I thought you'd find the slides from a talk given at SCOforum 2004 of interest, because they show that SCO also distributed, under the GPL, binutils in UnixWare and OpenServer. The talk was titled, "Open Source Components in SCO OpenServer and SCO UnixWare", and the credits list Ron Record at SCO engineering.

Here are the presentation slides from one of the most interesting talk I attended in recent times. The lecture titled 'On right to decode and encode and copyleft politics' was delivered by Dr.Nagarjuna at recently concluded National Conference on Free Software in Kochi.

I spent the better part of Sunday on a 4 hour bus ride to Hyderabad. It was really wonderful to meet a person like Giovanni Maruzzelli who isn't afraid to roll up his sleeves and hack an idea into shape.

The Master view in Impress is the equivalent of page styles in Writer. It's the view where you can set elements of design that appear throughout your presentation, such as the slide background and foreground colors, any reoccurring elements, and the fonts. By creating the master slides you need before you add content, you can automate your work and free yourself to focus on content.

There was a talk last week at LinuxTag in Berlin by Egbert Eich about kernel mode-setting and the DRM (Direct Rendering Manager) graphics stack on Linux. Egbert is, of course, a long-time X developer and openSUSE developer at Novell who was one of the masterminds behind the RadeonHD graphics driver and has worked on various pieces of X over the years.

"...Today I heard the best single presentation on open-source and free software I have ever personally attended, in a talk by Columbia Professor of Law Eben Moglen, on the topic “Copyleft Capitalism: GPLv3 and the Future of Software Innovation.” He spoke for over 90 minutes. I understand the session was recorded, and I have asked that a transcript be prepared.

In this talk I take you through how I produce podcasts like the Software Freedom Law Show and Linux Outlaws using only Free Software and Open Source solutions. Sound engineering is something I’ve done for a long time and it’s a real passion of mine. I hope that comes across in the talk.
