As the launch of Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 devices nears, the company has been telling those who will listen that one of its prime competitors' mobile operating system -- Google's Android -- is more costly than its own offering, even though the open source OS is free.

Same old song
After all these years, M$ still come out singing the same old tune every time they are about to foist some half-working lump of expensive garbage on their unlucky customers.
All this slagging of the opposition is a clear advance warning that they are trying to distract attention from the fact that the Phone 7 doesn't work properly.
