I told you I thought we'd hear from Novell, and so we have: Novell has filed a motion asking the court's permission to reply to SCO's Opposition to Novell's Motion in Limine No. 1.

In the latest news from SCO's slow boat to absolutely nowhere, Novell has filed its opposition to SCO's motion to stay taxation of costs.

IBM has filed a Reply to SCO's Response to Motions to Convert the Debtors' Chapter 11 Cases [PDF], just as Novell did earlier today. Novell has filed its Reply [PDF] in support of its Motion for Summary Judgment in Novell v. Microsoft, the antitrust litigation in Maryland regarding WordPerfect. Technically, it's Novell's Reply in Support of its Motion for Summary Judgment and Opposition to Microsoft's Cross-Motion for Summary Judgment. Novell has filed its Reply [PDF] to SCO's Response Concerning Novell's Notice of Related Proceeding, which asks the new judge now assigned to the Novell case in Utah, Hon. Ted Stewart, to consolidate the two cases, SCO v. IBM and SCO v. Novell, or in the alternative to at least assign the same judge to both, which SCO opposes.

This is the hearing on Novell's motion about the money, on the question of whether SCO owes Novell for the money it took in from Sun and Microsoft in 2003, or as I call it Novell's "give us our money before it's all gone" motion.
