However, especially when using netbooks, you also have to think about built-in flash-drive/SSD lifetime. Every write to filesystem is lowering drive's resources. In my opinion it is good idea to use several filesystems: one (or more) without journaling -- to reduce writes, and one (or more) with journaling to prevent data loss if sudden poweroff happened for example.
