It's that time of the year again. No, not Christmas -- it's the time of the year we get the latest versions of our favorite Linux distributions. Version 11.1 of openSUSE is being released today. Designated as a point release, there are enough new goodies to warrant a new install or upgrade.

Santa says, "No way"
Asked if he would be delivering much OpenSUSE 11.1 for Christmas, this year, noted GNU/Linux user, S.Claus, exclaimed;
"Not with all that flaming mono in it, no way! The last time I tried to ship M$ products I almost ended up with a general strike by the Elves and Reindeer Union. We nearly missed Christmas, altogether. This year we've joined the FSF and banned all proprietary software. We don't want to get all those little kids hooked on something nearly as bad as smoking, do we?"
