MEPIS said today that the release candidate of a community-built "ultra-lite" derivative of its own GNU/Linux distribution is ready for testing. AntiX (pronounced "Antics") is the personal project of MEPIS community member "anticapitalista," who wanted a MEPIS version that would work well on old PCs.

It looks like the beginnings of a nice relatively light-weight distribution. It is a shame that it does not offer Openbox though but that is just some personal bias.
Speaking of light-weight, I would love to see someone put together a nice CLI/ncurses only Live CD.
