Since it's Christmas and 2010 is knocking at the door, it's time to put up a round-up of the most popular articles published at TuxArena in 2009. This post is divided in two parts: a list of most popular tutorials and a list of most popular reviews (selected exclusively by number of views according to Google Analytics, from which I made a selection).

While i focus on web development in my articles this post is not related to web development in anyway, however i feel the need to post it here, after reading a bunch of articles comparing Windows and Ubuntu. For me it seemed that, authors writing this articles never used Ubuntu, they just installed it because manager told them to compare this two operating systems.
We started FSM about 3 years ago with two goals in mind: publish fantastic articles about free software, and pay people to write good articles. We believe we managed to reach the first goal. As far as payment, before now, we never managed to pay cash for articles.

As some of you may know, several weeks ago, the openSUSE-GNOME Team launched the Helping Hands Project. We’ve had three sessions so far, and each time we host an event, the number of visitors to the #opensuse-gnome IRC channel increases. Last Friday, we actually had a record channel peak of 88 visitors for our Evolution mail client presentation.
