This previous Christmas, I asked for and was given a brand new Eee PC (701). When I opened it, the comments around the room came quickly, “That’s a computer?” and “It’s so small” and “What a neat toy.” Well, that Toy has been on quite a Linux journey in recent months. And I’m now running eeeXbuntu on the Eee PC.

gBrainy is a brain teaser game and trainer to have fun and to keep your brain trained.It contains Logical Puzzles, Mental Calculations, Memory Trainers etc.

I wanted to take a few minutes and share a couple of games that I enjoy quite often. I've never been one for the shoot-em-up games, rather I prefer games that put my brain to work solving problems. There are many "brain games" available for Linux, but I would like to let you know about two games that I use to feed my puzzling addiction.

Recently, I forayed into the cool world of RoR and my immediate question was, how to get started and which is the best IDE to start my RoR journey with. I found loads of options and I have decided to list them here for the benefit of others, who face the same problem. I will also detail the installation of the IDE that I am currently using, which I feel is the easiest for newbies to start with.

The [adblocking extension] comes by default with Konqueror, but it does not come with any filtering rules. Moreever creating them is a bit of a hassle, there is just too many possible URL combinations for ads. Luckily Filter.G, the collection of filter rules for Firefox, is also compatible with Konqueror. Just follow these simple steps to import the filters.
