On a fresh install of Fedora Linux, neither Konqueror, nor Firefox will play content from YouTube. Fedora and Redhat's take on patents and licensing issues seems to be rather than risk stepping on thin ice, they'll avoid going out on the lake at all. Me, I'll take a stroll on the lake and trust I'm aware enough not to fall through the ice. If you want to play content from YouTube on your new Fedora desktop, here's what you do.

Flash on Windows does not require installing a plugin?

Last time I tried viewing an youtube movie in Windows (Firefox, IE) it also required to install a plugin.

I don't see how this is any better from the experience in Linux.
