Linux 2.6.31 will be IEEE 802.15.4 capable and will include a new Wi-Fi driver for Intel chips. The Wi-fi stack and drivers are now better able to use newer power saving technologies.

Despite my gripe about the Web site's sparse message and design, the message is a good one. The Trusted Computing Project allows its recipients to free themselves from the clutches of Microsoft and find themselves in a position where open source is the way of the land.

There are some among the FOSS community who pay lip service to Mahatma Gandhi when talking about this genre of software. There are others who actually put Gandhi's methods into practice to spread the message.
