The Free Software Foundation's DefectiveByDesign.org campaign, in cooperation with prominent authors, journalists, and librarians, has launched a petition against the Amazon Kindle's use of digital restrictions management (DRM).

On 2 Nov 2007, the Free Software Foundation Europe held an event in London, UK called "Free Software as a Social Innovation" to which I was fortunate to be invited.

Richard Stallman of the Free Software Foundation, and Gnu, has lead a very successful Free Software campaign. He’s helped grow a very strong free software community through his efforts. There are now many different distributions of Gnu/Linux that quietly run 80% of web servers on the internet. Not to mention the very successful Wikipedia was inspired by Gnu and their philosophy.

It might be a day too late for Valentine's Day, but it's never too late to show your love for Free Software. The Free Software Foundation Europe (FSFE) asked users to show their love for Free Software on Valentine's Day — but there's no reason why that can't run all year long.
