FSDaily is a community driven site. Without submissions from the community there is no news for the FSDaily community. When you read a great free software related article you can share it with the rest of the free software community by submitting it to FSDaily yourself. An easy way to do this is using FSDaily Bookmarklets.
If you are registered member of FSDaily and are logged in, you will see a new option next to "My account"... that's right - you now have your very own FSDaily blog account. If you have something free software related to tell the community go ahead and post it.

Trend Micro might insist that its patent case against Barracuda Networks isn't about free software -- but try telling that to the free and open source software (FOSS) community. Since Barracuda Networks went public about the case last month, it has heard from "a tremendous number of individuals" according to Dean Drako, Barracuda's president and CEO. Even more significantly, announcement of the case has led to a boycott against Trend Micro.
It has been suggested by one of our prominent community members that the use of negative votes should be confined to demoting spam. As the individual responsible for the introduction of negative voting on FSDaily, I feel I should explain my rationale for its inclusion and provide my tips on negative voting.
Thanks to FSDaily, I recently came across an excellent post regarding useful exercises for geeks[1]. What surprised me about it was that Workrave was not mentioned at all. Here I take a brief look at this great piece of free software designed with one purpose: combating repetitive strain injury (RSI).
