iPod-compatible stereo sound system vendor mStation announced yesterday that it is to acquire Mophie, which designs and creates iPod-compatible accessories such as skins, belt clips and arm bands. What does this have to do with open source? mStation didn't just buy the iPod accessories but also Illuminator, Mophie's product design and development community, through which the company collaborates with prospective customers on the future of its product line.
