not linux commands

Those are GNU bash commands, not "linux" commands.

This is one of the many reasons why we call it GNU+Linux, and not just "linux".

You can run your so-called "linux" commands on many free software operating systems, and also many proprietary operating systems including windows and mac.

GNU is everywhere you look. Let's call it GNU when we see it.
