GRAMPS is a genealogy program. It helps you organize your family tree, and is capable of exchanging data with other programs using the GEDCOM standard.

When we’re kids, we learn stories of the past from our grandparents, often involving their parents and grandparents. How many of you remember those stories? Linux is Free Software. Generally the average person tends to think of “Linux” as simply one operating system, but it’s rather a family of systems. Think of Linux and the various distributions as branches on the same tree-trunk.
